The end...?

Wrap up the Git course and review the core actions that keep GameMaker projects safer and easier to share.

Well done

There are a lot more aspects to Git that we haven’t touched on, pull requests, cloning, rebasing, etc. But you don’t need to know about those right now.

Commit, push, revert, branch, merge. Using just those five actions, you can keep your projects safe and flexible for the future, come rain, hail or shine.

It’s a lot to take in initially, so I’d give yourself a pat on the back for getting this far. I’d recommend bookmarking this course and coming back to it over time, as a reference guide, for when you can’t remember the exact steps to do some action.

But getting proper Git versioning set up for your projects is more than worth it. You’ve given yourself the tools to avoid being one of those “I spent months working on my project and I just lost the entire thing” people despairing online.

Well done!
